This week, we continue on our series on marriage. If you want to grow in your marriage, we encourage you to dive into God's Word, develop your prayer life, and commit yourself to your church community. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." -2 Corinthians 10:3-5**Choosing** the right person is part of it, but **becoming** the right person is the other part of it!1. God's Word**The Word Prepares You**"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." -Hebrews 4:12**The Word Purifies You**"How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." -Psalm 119:9 - 11 **The Word Protects You**Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. -Provers 4:14 **The Word Prospers You**Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. -Psalm 1:1-32. Prayer**Prayer doesn’t prepare you for battle. It is the battle.**The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. -Isaiah 58: 8 - 113. Body of Christ"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles." -Acts 2:42 - 43
