Baptism – Before We Ever Knew It
    Acts 2:36-41

We will be focusing on Baptism over these next two weeks. What it means to us and for our lives. This week we will be exploring the promises of God that are sealed upon us in our baptism long before we ever knew them.

    Two Ways
    Psalm 1

Join us this Sunday as we dive into the book of Psalms - the prayerbook of God's people. We will consider Psalm 1 and what it has to say about how we are to live. The Psalm offers two powerful images that describe two different ways of living in this world. One way is like a thriving tree planted by streams of water while the other is like chaff being blown in the wind. Which one sounds like a better way?? Which way best describes your life?? Which way will we choose??

Sermon: Ambassadors of Reconciliation – The New Creation
    Text: II Corinthians 5:17-21
Key Verse: II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Sermon Snapshot: Celebration will spend the next two weeks focused on Paul’s vision of the church as an embassy of reconciliation in a foreign – even hostile – world. Today we unpack the New Creation in vs 17, as citizenship in the Kingdom of God’s Grace that prepares us to live as ambassadors.

    Humility
    Philippians 2: 1-13

Join us this Sunday as we conclude our journey through the Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23. This week we consider a virtue that encapsulates most of the fruit - humility. What is humility?? What humility is NOT?? We will again look at the example of Jesus beautifully summarized in Paul's Christ Hymn from Philippians 2: 5-11. May we learn and grow together.

    Humility
    John 13:1-17 and Philippians 2:1-13

As we come to the end of the BELIEVE journey we will be encountering the humility of Jesus. Our salvation is a result of His humility. Jesus used the power He had for us and our sake. What an upside-down concept in Jesus’ day and still for us today.

Sermon: The Gospel of God’s Grace: Humility That Frees Us From Shame
    Text: Philippians 2:1-11
Key Verse: Philippians 2:3-4 - Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Sermon Snapshot: Humility, NOT humiliation. Freedom, NOT guilt. Security, NOT shame. Humility, like all the Fruit of the Spirit, is the work of God in us and then through us for the glory of God and the benefit of others. As humility grows and matures in the life of a Jesus-Follower, we find our selves not crushed and discarded, but instead reshaped and enlivened by the Spirit of Christ.
