Magical

My husband discovered this podcast when we first downloaded Spotify. Since then, I have listened to HPST over and over. When I catch up to the latest episode, I start back from the beginning. I have read along with Casper and Vanessa, and find myself often having conversations with them while I'm listening. Thanks for making such a fantastic podcast!

A Friend In A Storm

I have found the language and intentions of Casper, Vanessa and Ariana to feed my wounded soul when I felt I had to walk away from 25 years of teaching Sunday School and being the camp nurse. It has been, for me, a sacred practice as I try to navigate my world. I’m also playing in the Harry Potter Knit and Crochet House Cup on Ravelry.com

Some funky (not great moments) but overall good

I admit I stopped listening the first time I tried. There’s a strange effort by Vanessa to empathize or sympathize with the Dursley’s and then later she mentions understanding the death eaters priority of pure ness as a method of security or Smth.

I am not correctly quoting and the arguments she makes are not nearly as bad when you hear her explain it but.... the Dursley’s are abusive and the death eaters are meant to represent the nazis. Any effort in the slightest to see their point feel icky in the gut.

Overall, however, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the first season and will most likely follow through until completion. The only issue I have is above mentioned. She addressed the Dursley critique I believe by episode three.
