History of Demons | Angels That Like to Watch Ominous Origins

    • True Crime

Yes! We're back after taking a week off, and I'm happy we are - I hope you are too. I decided to bring back the old History of Demons chestnut and look at a group of angels that, well, like to watch, apparently. Okay, not really, but they're a group of angels who, like Lucifer, decided they wanted to revolt and spend some time on Earth playing with the beautiful daughters of mortals. Cheeky buggers, eh? The group lead by Azazel, who we looked at during some point in the past was followed by a slew of others, but there was a second in command, if you will by the name of Samyaza, whom we'll look at closer.
These angels wouldn't just court the women of Earth, but sleep with and ultimately impregnate leading to a potential race of giants called Nephilim, which we've also looked at in the past. This obviously didn't sit well with the higher ups, and they were punished for their transgressions. These angels were features somewhat prominently in the Book of Enoch, and several Jewish texts. And though they aren't considered "canon" any longer in biblical terms, they still have a place in the folklore of religion.
We also take a look at demon not associated with the watchers called Shax for no reason other than his name stood out to me. He was a bit of a deceitful little fella, and highly interesting to take a look at.
