Great narration

Just started (on episode 10)ways to go yet but I like the fact this is told like story with small loop back when needed. With all the names and dates that are not easy to remember loop backs and reminders are great help. I also like the short focus on personalities like Eleanor of Aquitaine. Great listen if interested in the period but have little previous knowledge.

I’m in for the long haul. Great podcast. Great dry humour as well!

Good but...

Ok, I gave this four stars because it has great content...
But, she talks in an irritatingly slow way, and on top of that uses overly, and unnecessarily wordy sentences, where you know what she’s trying to say long before she finishes saying it.
This gets exhausting to me, and I can only listen for so long before I have to shut it off in annoyance.
The other thing is her sarcastic tone.. she reminds of guy who did “The History of Britain” podcast. It sounds as though she is embarrassed that some of her friends will listen, so she has to talk with this tone like the whole thing is a joke, and she isn’t too serious about being interested in the topic.
Personally, I’m not listening to this stuff to hear how funny you are. And you’re not that funny anyway. Sorry, but this is how I feel after a month of listening.
