Hello from Nova Scotia

After being turned on to Podcasts by a friend it was a pleasure to find Ray’s History of WW2 library. Just the right amount info in each episode and good narration. Lots of little tidbits you don’t normally hear about too. Plus Ray’s family helps out on some of the sponsor ads which always makes me chuckle. “Respect The Face!” Thanks Ray. My favourite was the ending of the battle of Taranto: “all ships to fly same colours”, still makes me think of the pride those men must have felt. Was surprised at how moving that was. You make my commute 100% better!

Downgrade my previous review

Sad to say the irritating commercials in this great podcast have made it a pain to listen to.

Today I listened to Wake Island and had to stop my exercises 4(?) times because of LOUD and obnoxious commercials. Each time I have to FFWD until the stuff is finished.

C'mon Ray, 4 is too many, the volume is LOUD and there are more smooth ways to put ads in (like at the start or end?).

I do appreciate that Ray has and introduced me to some topics that I was ignorant of. However putting out a podcast on a routine basis is important if you want people to follow it. As of late it seems like this podcast is no longer his focus. Plus now we have actual ads and not Ray’s charming daughters.
