At around 15:30 on 22 June 1893, disaster struck in the Eastern Mediterranean as HMS Victoria, the proud flagship of the Royal Navy's Mediterranean Fleet, collided with HMS Camperdown during fleet manoeuvres. Within moments, chaos unfolded, and the mighty warship began its tragic descent beneath the waves, sealing its fate in one of the most shocking naval catastrophes of the era.
