This podcast offered an entertaining and accessible view into political life in Canada. I appreciated how the podcast highlighted the honest challenges MPs face. I’d love to know what if anything is being done to address them in a follow-on episode!
Using the Humans of NY model here is genius; tapping the secret sauce of great storytelling. Some moments of post-politics Pollyanna, but mostly cool rational critique and insight. Reminded me of a more grown-up version of the classic TV clips, Schoolhouse Rock ❤️ Bravo 👏
I was enjoying this podcast - right up to the point that they decided to talk to me like I'm in kindergarten... "the vote bells are just like recess!". Ugh. Dumbing down democracy does not make it more accessible. I enjoy the clips of the actual MPs, but can't abide the inane banter in between.

On this show there are minutes of insight buried within hours of whinging, whining and complaining from MPs. Do they have to work hard? Yes, I’d hope so… we elect them to work hard. Unpaid overtime? Demanding bosses? Stress? Welcome to the working world of most Canadians. Little or no mention of their six-months severance packages, or their lifetime pensions. MPs detachment from reality is on display with many of those interviewed.
