    46 TDoV w/ S. Leigh Thompson

Today's episode is actually a "rerun" of one of my favorites from last year to mark Trans Day of Visibility, with an updated intro. More new episodes to come soon, but I'm still recovering from the AHCA whirlwind.

    S. Leigh Thompson talks about the hurdles to diagnosis he's faced as a trans person with complex health issues, healthcare insecurity, getting around the city with mobility limitations, and navigating society with invisible disabilities.

So important

This podcast has become so important to me. I don't get to have these kind of honest conversations about chronic illness, so it's a bit of a lifeline to people going through similar struggles. It's frank, funny at times, emotional at others, and made with a lot of care.

Five stars

I would highly recommend this podcast for anyone dealing with chronic, invisible illness or disability. The podcast is smart, honest, thoughtful and fun. Cara and her guests just get the crazy complications chronic illness can bring, and it's so nice to hear it finally discussed in a no-reservations kinda way!

Interesting, relevant topics.

Enjoyed the few episodes I listened to, but found them a bit confusing without audio cues (music, etc) to indicate transitions between parts of the episodes, like intro, ad, interview. Not sure if that is all of the episodes are just the ones I listened to. Other than that, good. Interesting, relevant topics.
