Madelein’s style

I was reading some of the reviews and just wanted to comment on some of the negative feedback regarding Madelein’s “style”. I am a Canadian police officer who’s primary job is to investigate serious persons’ crimes, which encompasses endless interviews. I do notice that typical American Law Enforcement’s approach to investigation and interview techniques is often in stark contrast to Canadian Law Enforcement’s approach to interviewing and gathering evidence. Canadian perspective takes the position that building rapport and relationship is far more effective in interviewing and gathering evidence than demonstrating superiority through overbearing acts that can lead to perceived or real abuse of authority. Do not be deceived, calm, quiet persistence should not be mistaken for lack of experience or incompetence. Every person brings different skills to the table and each is vitally necessary in law enforcement. Keep up the good work!! These small local law enforcement agencies appear to have no oversight or accountability which can so easily lead to corruption.

The BEST

I am a newly minted podcast junkie, and this podcast is by far the best one I’ve listened to. The reporting is fair and thorough, but also gripping and suspenseful. The team of journalists and producers are obviously extremely committed and hardworking to create a series of such a high caliber. I am eagerly awaiting the next season, and know it will be outstanding.
