Stellar

I didn't listen to this podcast when it was around 2 years ago, so I am basing my review on the new episode from 2016. I love the points of view and the great, in depth explanations. The dynamic between Velma Nightshade and Fire Lyte is hilarious and they are so easy to listen to. It's nice that it's unscripted, so it's more fun and spontaneous. However, Velma talks very forcefully and tends to interrupt Fire Lyte, so sometimes the beginning of a promising sentence never gets to turn into anything because it's cut off. This is only a minor annoyance, other than that, the show is FANTASTIC. Absolutely recommend.

The Title Gave Me The Wrong Impression

Good conversation, interesting topics. Not a bad podcast, but I was a little disappointed because the title had me expecting something more radical. To be fair I only listened to the first episode, but the general attitude seems to be pretty uncritical of the social, political, structural status quo. I know it’s not a political podcast, but the title sort of gives that impression if you ask me. I would have loved to hear some critically thought out reasons for a believe in the prison system and the gender binary and how that connects to spirituality. Maybe I’m being too harsh, but one bad review probably won’t do much harm to a well-liked podcast.
