I Love the Podcast

This podcast seems to hit all of the right spots for me. I love hearing the stories, and opinions. The conversation seems earnest, honest and forthright, where even criticism of The Big Boss is heard.

I have listened to almost all episodes, in order. I’ve noticed Jesse repeatedly has asked for negative criticism of the podcast, but I can’t really think of anything I’d change.

I’ll update my review as I consume more episodes.

If you enjoy Conan, how can you NOT like this?!?

As a 25+ year fan (I missed the first few years of Late Night), this podcast is a dream come true. Getting to hear awesome behind-the-scenes stories about, and from, the folks and bits that I've appreciated for so long is so much fun! Jesse and Mike are great hosts, asking interesting questions to their guests, and adding their own insights as well, since they've also been writers on Conan's various shows! Thanks so much for sharing these great stories, gang! I hope this podcast continues for a long time... or at least until you can start writing on the next show (but hopefully past that, too)!

And here's a couple questions for you!
Jesse, before joining the team were you a fan of the Late Night show? And do you have any favorite bits that you remember?
And Mike (or Jesse), have there ever been any disasterous things on the show that couldn't be edited out? After listening to the Jim Pitt episode I remembered one musical act that seemed like maybe they didn't play the right song or something? It was two creepy guys doing a punk or hard rock thing, and when they finished Conan looked angry and didn't go over and thank them. He just ended the show. I had never seen that before or since (unless it was a pre-tape maybe?) and it got me thinking if there were ever times when even though something went wrong it had to stay in for time reasons?

Best Coco Pod

A refreshing contrast to the vapid celebrity 69-fest of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, Inside Conan is a delightful peak behind the curtains with the brilliant people who made the best late night comedy of the 90’s and 00’s.
