    On this episode of the Inspired Giving Podcast, host Wilma Norton welcomes Eleanor Saunders, executive director of ECHO of Brandon. Saunders shares her experiences building a social enterprise (ECHO Handmade) into an existing nonprofit and shifting the nonprofit mindset. In 2017, ECHO won the grand prize of $25,000 from the Social Venture Partners Fast Pitch Business Accelerator for its social enterprise. ECHO Handmade not only upcycles existing clothing donations into handmade purses, leather cuffs, and key chains, it also gives its clients, called artisans, professional training in sewing and metal work.

    On this episode of Inspired Giving, Wilma welcomes Neil and Gianna Gobioff of The Gobioff Foundation. This small private family foundation was founded in 2007 by Howard Gobioff, an early employees of Google. When Howard passed away just a few short months later, he left the foundation to his brother, Neil. Now, the Gobioff's run the foundation full-time with a singular goal of honoring Howard's memory and "making the world a better place." They share their learning experiences and give some sage advice for nonprofits. They talk the inspiration behind their current projects and their hopes and fears around the future of the foundation.

    Welcome to the Inspired Giving podcast. In this episode, your Community Foundation of Tampa Bay host Wilma Norton welcomes Kyle Matthews, Executive Director of Beat Nb, a nonprofit that seeks to do just what it says - beat neuroblastoma - the most common cancer in infants. Matthews joined Beat Nb full time in 2016, six years after the death of his son Ezra from neuroblastoma. Matthews, an entrepreneur with a budding tech company left it all to work for something larger. Matthews' strategic leadership brought together four organizations formed by the grieving parents of children who fought neuroblastoma, pooled their resources, and created Beat Nb. Since its inception, Beat Nb has helped found and fund a global research consortium called Beat Childhood Cancer.

    Wilma Norton and Matt Spence welcome Michael Jalazo, Executive Director of the Pinellas Ex-Offender Re-Entry Coalition. Jalazo's initiative offers a construction training program for ex-offenders and hard-to-serve populations. The Tiny Homes project constructs tiny homes as a social enterprise to fund the Coalition's other programs. Jalazo sits down with Matt and Wilma in the studio to talk about the program, and its potential to impact diverse communities in St. Petersburg. He shares innovative ideas about financial expansion for nonprofits and discusses future collaborations with city agencies and private foundations.
