From depression and post partum depression, to anxiety and eating disorders, to PTSD, the loss of loved ones, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, addiction... The list goes on and on. Joan is a place of honesty and connection. On this episode of Joan, Kelly speaks with one of her oldest teachers, her aunt, Laura Killian. Laura is a mother, a farmer, a Reiki healer, an Inner Alignment coach, and a Soul Retrieval healer. We dive into childhood trauma and growing up with an alcoholic father, the death of her father, the transition from dental hygiene to being a healer, after being stuck in a mindset of lack. On this episode of Joan, Kelly speaks with one of her teachers, Kim Beekman. Kim is a trauma coach, a yoga teacher trainer, and an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor. She has developed her own 8 week system of working with clients to get through childhood trauma that has proven life-changing for many. She walks us through her own childhood trauma and how that manifested in her life as an eating disorder, all the way through to healing and finding her work on this spiritual path. This is a slightly more educational episode, so take some notes as Kim is amazing! At the end of the episode, Kelly honors and tells the lesser known story of Pocahontas.
