    The End Is Here

The Raptors bowed out of the NBA playoffs, and Eric and Holly discuss their loss to the 76ers, before moving on to the end-of-season comments from Fred VanVleet, Nick Nurse, Masai Ujiri and others. They also briefly touch on an offseason outlook before singing the praises (and doling out some low-level criticism) of Jeopardy champion Mattea Roach.

    Halfway To History?

    Halfway To History?

Can the Raptors be the first team in NBA history to win a series after trailing 3-0? They certainly have the momentum, with Pascal Siakam and Precious Achiuwa taking star turns. Eric and Holly talk about that, Thaddeus Young's quiet excellence and the not-at-all quiet vibes radiating out of Philadelphia.

Let others talk.

I’m giving five stars because you are a great journalist and know your stuff but relax with the ego a bit. You’re constantly talking over Holly. You would do it with Blake but he kept you in check. Holly is too polite. You come off as rude and arrogant which I like to think you’re actually not.
Either do solo podcasts if you’re not capable of cutting people off or relax and assume Holly knows what she’s talking about too. A back and forth conversation is a lot easier on the ears than you talking over people and me having to listen to two competing voices. Thank you.

Magic is Gone

Disagree with the previous review. Although I agree that Holly is a perfectly polite and intelligent person, perhaps her personality type is better suited towards a different type of show. One of the things that made the original pod with Eric and Blake so great was their chemistry, witty banter and extensive vocabulary. Although Holly's positivity is cool, I find that she is much like myself in that her vocabulary isn't nearly as extensive as Eric and Blake's and so she sometimes struggles to articulate her thoughts efficiently. I find myself becoming disengaged when she speaks because the wit and focus just isn't there the way it was when Blake was around. I also find that she herself has a habit of prematurely interrupting and steering the discussions in random directions at times. I empathize with her because I think I have a similar personality type and speaking skillset. But at the same time, having become heavily invested in the original reasonablists pod, I can't help but feel disappointed that the magic feels gone. I still think Eric is great in his role but just like Pascal these past few games, it's evident that he needs to be complimented by Fred to thrive. I hope I'm not being too harsh on Holly as I can't imagine how difficult it is to host a podcast. I'm rooting for her to step it up in the same way we've been calling for Gary to find his stride since the break. But i'm a bit pessimistic and more curious to see if someone else can revive this role.

Fo$ ,

Deal with it.

If you want to listen to 2 woke crybabies drone on about covid every week, this is the pod for you! Covid is here, it’s a part of daily life, deal with it. Can we just get hoops analysis rather than whining about ppl in the stands not masked up?
