Keep It Running is a weekly podcast hosted by university athletes, for university athletes and alumni. Each Friday, hosts Courtney Hufsmith (University of Saskatchewan) and Laura Dickinson (Syracuse University) have a conversation with a fellow varsity athlete. They talk training, balancing school and sports, and how they are staying connected to the track through the Pandemic.

Hufsmith and Dickinson met at the World University Games in Italy, where both were competing for Canada. There, they decided to start a podcast.

    This week, host Laura Dickinson is joined by former Princeton and current University of Nebraska hurdler Joey Daniels.

    While at Princeton, Daniels broke three school records and was a multiple-time Ivy League Champion. He is just moved to Nebraska, where he will use his final year of NCAA eligibility to compete for the Cornhuskers.

    Daniels discusses the challenges of balancing academic and athletic demands at a high level, while chasing his Olympic dream during the Pandemic.

    Scott Joseph is a long and triple jumper for the University of Regina Cougars. Last year, he set a school record in the long jump, and was named the U Sports rookie of the year. In the process, Joseph brook a 45-year-old U-20 Canadian record.

    Host Courtney Hufsmith talks with Joseph about how he got into jumping, what he's been up to during the Pandemic, and his plans for the future.

    The Marathon Project Winner Martin Hehir

    Laura Dickinson of the Keep It Running Podcast interviews father, future doctor, and recent winner of The Marathon Project, Martin Hehir.Hehir was a national champion at Syracuse University, and he now trains with the Reebok Boston Track Club. Coming off a sixth place finish at the US Olympic marathon trials, he ran an impressive 2:08:59 marathon last weekend to win the Marathon Project.
