Lionel Messi didn't hold back his frustration with Major League Soccer's controversial new rule, speaking out directly to the camera during Inter Miami's match against Montreal.

The rule mandates players to stay off the field for two minutes if assisted by medical staff, a move aimed at preventing time-wasting tactics but criticized for its potential misuse.  Per the rule, "If the referee stops play due to a potential player injury in which the player remains on the ground for more than 15 seconds and the medical staff enters the field of play, the player may be required to leave the field of play for two minutes."

The cameras captured Messi saying, “With this kind of rule,” we’re headed in the wrong direction.”

David Beckham told Jimmy Kimmel that Messi is The GOAT.

Beckham said, “It's just that effect that Leo has on the game and the world. One of the reasons we wanted to bring him to America was to inspire the next generation. That was my plan.""I have played against him twice, but I've been a fan of him and watched him for many years. And I always had the plan to bring the greatest player to ever play the game, in my opinion, to our team. Luckily, it happened.""I think everyone’s got their own opinion. There are a lot of great players who have played the game over the years, but in my opinion, he is the perfect player."
