Cleo

As a baby born in 1972, this was already happening. I had only heard briefly thro the news media what it was all about when I was in my late 30’s. As I sit here and listen to the stories and Christine’s journey to find answers about her sister I am appalled and shocked, my heart breaks over and over for every single one of the indigenous people who have had to endure such cruel and life altering actions. Parts of this story have brought me to absolute tears of sadness, and parts have brought me joy, Christine’s determination and strong will to find answers is inspiring. Cleo I know is so incredibly proud of you looking down from where she is♥️

Understanding the truth

Through this story I better understand, and feel, the pain and injustices that have happened (and still happen) to Indigenous children and families. I carry this truth and will continue to learn the ugly parts of my country’s history.
