Connie is an extremely talented podcasted

I have listened to 2 of Connie Walker’s podcasts and they are amazing. The first included the history of the Highway of Tears and the Missing & Murdered, the 2nd included the history of the Sixties scoop. The combination of Connie’s actually being Indigenous, with her voice and story-telling skills put me in tears during these podcasts. What a stunning mastery of story telling. In my mind, Connie Walker deserves an award for these incredible podcasts.

Understanding

The reporters obviously doesn’t understand the atrocities indigenous people went through & how cover ups happen. To say she didn't want to paint a bad picture about the social workers was upsetting to me. Children were KIDNAPPED out of their homes. A suicide usually don’t have a thick police file.

omg

connie walker is SO good at her job. these series have been detailed, coherent and engaging. i love that this an indigenous woman looking into these cases, because it’s common to see white people go into marginalized communities and expect people to open up.... which feels disrespectful and disconnected. these podcasts are presented in the most engaging way and i find i’m able to retain the information because of how well done the stories are! cannot wait for the next season!
