Mission Grove is a nondenominational Christian church located in
Phoenix, Arizona. We exist to help every man, woman, and child
You Were Made for this Moment
You were made for this moment. God has uniquely prepared us and positioned us to reach this community with the Gospel. Pastor Jon Kragel asks the same question Mordecai asked Esther 2500 years ago, "What if you were made for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14). Will you join us on mission to be FOR the community? What does Jesus say about politics? Part 2
Jesus didn't come to take sides. He came to take over. In part two of what does Jesus say about politics, pastor Jon Kragel shares an example of how Jesus handled a political question (Mark 12:13-17). Christians, as you head into this election season, remember that elections are temporary, but eternity is forever. Choose to keep your witness with those who disagree with you and show love and honor in a community filled with division. We are called to live kingdom down, and not culture up.
What does Jesus say about politics?
Your candidate will win or lose on the first Tuesday of November, but the church will win or lose based on how we treat one another between now and then. When you disagree politically, choose to love unconditionally and pray for unity. Jesus prayed for unity and He paid for unity by dying on the cross. Therefore, we should make unity our priority during this election season (lessons from John 17 and Ephesians 4). Find practical ways to serve in your community, but remember that your ultimate allegiance belongs to God.
What does Jesus say about Racial Justice?
Racial Justice is a Gospel issue. Listen as pastor Jon Kragel shares commentary on this sensitive subject through the lens of Jesus. What does Jesus have to say? What did He do? How can we learn from His example? This message is meant to simply start a healthy conversation with our church family so we can love people the way Jesus loved us. In the message, Jon addresses the polarizing positions within our nation right now and he then shares four practical and personal steps we can take towards unity within the church:
1. Repent of self-righteousness.
2. Acknowledge the hurt and experiences of others.
3. Commit to a posture of compassion, honor, and service.
4. Elevate others whenever possible.
Who's Your One?
Share what you love with whom you love. The best thing you can do in this moment is to share the Gospel with those around. Movements start in moments with people. Be the one to bring someone to Jesus. Who's your one? Learn how to share your faith in this message with pastor Jon Kragel. Be like the friends who brought their friend to Jesus (Luke 5:27-26). They had faith. They had love. They had courage. And we believe with faith, love, and courage, you can bring people to Jesus, too.
Everyone Has a Story
Start telling better stories. Everyone has a story to tell, so what story are you telling? In week four of our series, Everyone Together, pastor Jon Kragel shares how you can start telling better stories as we learn from an unlikely hero (John 4:27-42). No matter your circumstances or your past, God can use your story to make an impact for eternity. In this message you'll also learn about the art of reframing, the power of pre-framing, and how to set up Gospel appointments.
