What a gift!!

This podcast has been the answer to so many questions and wonderings I’ve had in my motherhood journey. It feels like I’m sitting down for coffee with the women being interviewed and personally hearing their stories and journeys. Bri is an incredible interviewer and asks the best questions!!
Mamas out there - this podcast is such a gift!!!

Perspective

I love this podcast. The host does a great job keeping the conversation flowing. The guests are all awesome and intriguing. I love her questions. It’s been very encouraging to me and I look forward to each episode.

I would love to hear an episode where someone has a great experience with an epidural. Yes, it’s amazing to have a natural birth and it’s incredibly heroic and inspiring. Being that I was high risk, I chose to have an epidural in order to ensure that I wouldn’t have a seizure during labour and deliver a healthy baby in the safest way possible. There are lots of good things about epidurals too, and many of the women I’ve spoke to laboured for hours and hours without any progress, and when they finally gave in to an epidural, their body relaxed and things just took off and everything fell into place.

We al have different stories and in 2019, there isn’t a right or a wrong way to give birth. I just try to advocate for people who decide to (or feel that they have no other choice) take the medication. As for the God piece, I strongly believe he gave us science and technology and minds to advance technology for the good of this world. Meaning, because of the nature of my high risk condition, I could have died and my son could have died. Beyond that... C-section deliveries are a whole other ball game! Obviously, these are extreme circumstances, but sometimes that’s what you get, and those women should t have to feel ashamed and should still be allowed to have an amazing birth experience. I would just love to hear a guest discuss this sort of perspective. I loved the episode where you brought your friend on who has chosen to not have a baby just because it was a contrasting perspective.
