Consistently great

Very entertaining. Funny, serious, in depth, artistic, honest, theological, practical, and interesting. Sometimes their review of the movie is more entertaining than the movie itself.

As a movie-loving Christian...

...it's taken me a long time to develop my understanding of movies beyond simply ranking it on the scales of how entertaining and how offensive a movie might be. Part of the reason for that is the stilted understanding within a Christian context of what to do with movies, particularly those that portray actions or use words of which we don't necessarily approve.

More Than One Lesson isn't the most tightly-produced podcast, but it doesn't purport to be: it's essentially a Tyler Smith monologue (or occasional conversation) that draws out a lot of the notable artistic or topical elements in film that have bearing on faith or to which our Christian voice can add some perspective. (Having written that, it sounds a lot like the show's description, which I just read.)

And in that sense, it's a 5-star podcast.

interesting mix of film review and religious discussion

A fine podcast that is at its best when there is a guest to discuss the film and religious issues with. The Christian perspective is at times forced but almost always interesting even when I disagree.
