Chalmers the scorpion king, extending Evan Bouchard, and Oilers roster moves

Chalmers the scorpion king, extending Evan Bouchard, and Oilers roster moves

We’re another Thursday closer to the start of hockey season and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast had plenty to talk about after missing the Monday episode because of meetings. On today’s show, the guys looked at Chalmers' place in Arizona, the latest from Oilers training camp, and a whole more.
Kicking off today’s podcast, the guys got started with a recap of Chalmers' trip to Arizona and how his home away from home is infested with scorpions. As you'll hear, Chalmers way of handling the problem is as intense as the initial issue was in the first place. Changing gears to the Oilers, Jay and Tyler got into a passionate conversation about the plan with Evan Bouchard and whether or not the team dropped the ball by not extending the defencemen this summer before his stats probably get juiced up stats on the power play. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a look at the Toronto Blue Jays playoff run that kicks off tomorrow against Seattle and how the boys decided to throw a watch party at Nation HQ to kick off the festivities.

Chalmers checks in from the road, Jay's Calgary biz, and the Oilers' cap situation

Chalmers checks in from the road, Jay's Calgary biz, and the Oilers' cap situation

A brand new week is underway, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you ease back into work life after another round of practice retirement. On today’s show, the guys looked at the business Jay is getting done in Calgary, Chalmers' vacation, the Oilers' salary cap situation, and a whole lot more.
To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with sheer amazement that all four guys actually showed up on time for the podcast. Even crazier was having Chalmers appear in the Zoom from his family vacation down south to give a few updates on what he's been up to. As you'll hear, Chalmers didn't spare any details in this story. Changing gears, Jay jumped in to talk about what he's doing in Calgary, including the revelation that Flamesnation will be getting a new office/recording studio. Getting to the Oilers, the guys spent the next little bit talking about the pre-season and how the team is finally paring down the roster to a point where we're seeing the guys we want to see. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a little baseball talk after news came out over the weekend that Shohei Ohtani could be in line for a massive payday next summer. Would the Jays have the juice available to make a play on him?

We're busy and tired, the Oilers pre-season, and Frankie Lasagna's big miss

We're busy and tired, the Oilers pre-season, and Frankie Lasagna's big miss

We’re another Thursday closer to the start of hockey season and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast had plenty to talk about after missing the Monday episode because of meetings. On today’s show, the guys looked at the influx of new Nation Network programming, the Oilers' pre-season, roster battles, and a whole more.
Kicking off today’s podcast, the guys got started with a confession about how tired and overwhelmed everyone is with everything that's going on behind the scenes right now. With an avalanche of new shows and programming coming down the pipe across the Nation Network. As a result of the foggy brain, the guys decided that a beer would help to solve the issue. Changing gears, the guys dove into the Oilers' pre-season and how everyone on the show expected more out of varying players. Has Warren Foegele done enough to stand out? Is Jake Virtanen doing enough with his PTO? Getting away from hockey entirely, the guys got Jay's take on Big Brother and whether or not Taylor deserved to win the $750K. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with another warning to Nation citizens that if you want to come on the #NationVacation to Vegas that space is running out, and procrastinating will not be your friend here.

Studio updates, Oilers start the pre-season, and going to space

Studio updates, Oilers start the pre-season, and going to space

A brand new week is underway, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you ease back into work life after another round of practice retirement. On today’s show, the guys looked at Nation HQ's new podcast studio, the start of the pre-season, and a whole lot more.
To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with some updates about the new recording studio that's being built at Nation HQ and how Tyler's latest upgrade looks very similar to a certain casting couch. Unfortunately, that new studio also happened to be Wanye's old office that he's since been kicked out of in favour of this new production space. Changing gears, the guys looked at the Oilers' first pre-season game from last night, which prompted Tyler to confess that he really doesn't care about these tune-up games at all. Lastly, Wanye told another dad story about Young Wanye from this past weekend after the youngster both punched him and puked on his face.

Tyler's vacay, fake celebrity news, and the Oilers kick off training camp

Tyler's vacay, fake celebrity news, and the Oilers kick off training camp

We’re another Thursday closer to the start of hockey season and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast had plenty to talk about after missing the Monday episode because of meetings. On today’s show, the guys looked at Tyler's favourite colour, fake celebrity news, training camp, and a whole more.
Kicking off today’s podcast, the guys got started with a random conversation about social media and music after Wanye and Tyler compared notes on what they're listening to these days. From there, the podcast kept up with the randomness when Chalmers joined the show and Baggedmilk asked him about Adam Levine's leaked texts. Trying to get the podcast back on the rails, Tyler talked about his vacay to Toronto/Buffalo and how it was an incredible experience to see the Bills play in person for the first time. He then told a really uncomfortable story about an Uber ride he had and how the driver was giving the worst takes of all time. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with another round of NFL picks, a fantastic story out of Switzerland, and whatever else came to mind.

Wanye helps the kids, nicknames, and a brilliant Oodle Noodle marketing plan

Wanye helps the kids, nicknames, and a brilliant Oodle Noodle marketing plan

A brand new week is underway, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you ease back into work life after another round of practice retirement. On today’s show, the guys looked at Chalmers being MIA once again, Wanye's gas station story, marketing ideas for the Oilers, and a whole lot more.
To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with another episode of Where in the World is Christopher Chalmers. Even though he keeps telling the boys he'll be back on the podcast, another episode got started and wrapped without so much as a text message about his whereabouts. From there, Wanye told a story of participating in a high school kid's scavenger hunt and how he helped him out with only 11 cents worth of gas. Next up, the guys worked through a brilliant Oodle Noodle marketing plan after a Nation Citizen came up with the nickname, "Ginger Beef" for Reid Schaeffer. Lastly, the guys wrapped up this week's podcast with a little bit of Big Brother talk, more reviews, and a preview of Tyler's new live show.

Laugh rating 5/5

We all love a good Baggedmilk laugh, but there’s something underrated about the Taylor Hamchunk laugh. More of those please.
Love the pod, love the network, Go Oilers!

What a rip off

I “Won” the oodle noodle gift pack 2 weeks ago, emailed Tyler, and he never emailed me back. Yes, I know how to check my spam you anus. Chalmers thinks you need to show up once in a while yaremcuk. 5 stars boys.

Mid when jay appears

2 man 3 man or 4 I don’t care as long as wanyè is there. Seriously I have never listened to a podcast with someone as witty as wanye. At least once an episode I laugh out loud at one of wanyè’s outlandish childhood stories. Wanye is a genius and is destined for Elon bezos levels of success. Baggedmilk is pretty funny too.
