AROUND 3:44 PM SATURDAY JULY 24TH, 2021 - FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE LOCOMOTIVE WAS TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE 65 YEARS AGO - 2926 MOVED UNDER HER OWN STEAM POWER AGAIN. IT WAS A RED LETTER DAY FOR ALL THE RESTORATION CREW, DONORS AND FANS WHO HAVE SUPPORTED THE RESTORATION EFFORT THESE PAST 22 YEARS SINCE HER PURCHASE FOR $1 FROM THE CITY IN 1999.
