Missing from the Crawlspace Media Network
For 5 years Tim and Lance have covered Maura Murray's disappearance and the tireless community that surrounds it in great detail. They have since expanded with this series by raising awareness for the stories of other missing persons. They now sit on the board of directors of the non-profit, Private Investigations for the Missing, which was founded by Bruce Maitland, father of missing person Briana Maitland. Their show has teamed up with PIFTM to assist with investigations for underserved families that can't afford the services or don't know where to turn with their struggle.

63. Infanticide at The Cecil Hotel
Hold up- it's been 63+ episodes and we have never thoroughly talked about L.A. Not So Confidential's theme?? As we start this multipart series on vintage Los Angeles crimes, we break down the legacy of Hollywood noir films. We then turn to the Cecil Hotel and Dorothy Jean Purcell's crime of infanticide in 1944. We explore the historical contexts of infanticide and the phenomenon of it today in the US. As a tie-in to Ms. Purcell's adjudication, it was also necessary to talk about the criminal finding of Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGI).

Examining the Cindy James Case with Women & Crime
The doctors join Dr. Sacks and Dr. Shlosberg, criminologists and hosts of Women & Crime and Direct Appeal, to examine the mysterious stalking and death of Cindy James. They discuss stalking behaviors, individuals who fake their own assaults and associated personality disorders, dissociative identity disorder, and their theory of a non-stranger perhaps being involved.

61. The Night Stalker & Satanic Panic
In the Summer of 1985, Los Angeles was held in the grip of terror. The Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez, struck without rhyme or reason and without any consistent victimology. No one was safe and everyone was scared. We discuss some lesser know facts of the case, while highlighting the victims' lives and exploring how the Satanic Panic of the 80's fueled the flames during an already hot, cruel summer.
*Dr. Shiloh accidentally referred to Glynn Martin's book as The Summer of Satan; the correct title is Satan's Summer in the City of Angels: The Social Impact of the Night Stalker and can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0997825189/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Customer Reviews
Great topics
I like that you both have a little fun but are very serious and professional about the subject matter because it’s such serious stuff. And so sad. Thank you!
Awesome!
Love the academic yet engaging content. The hosts are great and wonderful to listen to!
Guest etiquette
I love this show! I just have one nitpick. I just listened to episode #11. The male hosts interrupts and talks over the guests frequently. It’s very frustrating to listen when he won’t let the guests finish a story or sometimes even a sentence. The raising of his voice to speak over the guests is annoying. I hope this isn’t a constant theme with guests. Otherwise, this show is awesome and very informative!
