Field experience
Hey guys, love the podcast. I’m a Canadian citizen and have my degree in petroleum engineering from the university of Wyoming. I grew up in Calgary and always wanted to be apart of the energy industry in Alberta. I worked in the field for a couple years before I was able to land an EIT job in Calgary. I just want to give advice to other people looking to get into office jobs in the industry. START IN THE FIELD! By getting my hand dirty in the field before moving to the office it’s allowed me to hit the ground running and start my new position with a greater knowledge of the industry. It’s also given me more respect with my peers in the oil and gas industry. Would love to hear your thoughts on this path into the energy industry.
Thanks, keep the black gold flowing!
Keep it going!
I’m a Canadian engineer, working in the Oil & Gas industry and I enjoy this podcast, and the work you both are doing.
Paige sarcasm cracks me up, and I like how you are open to debates/discussions about climate change, renewables etc - especially since Marc’s has an environmentalist background.
Been listening since early 2023 and I rated 4/5 star, because in that time I’ve noticed this podcast has a bias towards western Oil & Gas companies. For example, I’m yet to hear anything about the fantastic work the Dangote oil refinery is doing to stabilizing the cost of refined products in Nigeria and west Africa - especially since the likes of shell and other western refinery companies made the business decision to leave
Thx & Keep up the good work !
Love this Podcast!
The only downside to your podcast is you don’t record enough episodes! Love listing to what you guys have to say. As a Canadian living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with a husband whose been working in Texas for the past 13 years, it’s nice to hear the optimism re: oil and gas vs. the doom ad gloom we’ve been hearing in Canada over the years.
