    BASJIA

    BASJIA

You may know Basjia as one of Eora’s most impactful voices; a creative director, dancer, model, and a Ballroom community member (House of Silky). In these spaces, her work celebrates and empowers the body in all forms.

But beyond her own practice, she works tirelessly to shift the narratives and landscapes around her. Her activism for inclusion and representation can be found in the fashion and performance spaces.

In this week's show, Emily Elvish explores how Basjia creates art to empower and celebrate the black femme body and to show how powerful and sacred all bodies are.

    CLAUD BAILEY

    CLAUD BAILEY

Today’s guest is triple-threat co-founder, program producer, and filmmaker Claud Bailey.

You might have seen the premiere of performance art program Stories from the Heart at world pride last year, Claud Bailey and TRANS MEDIUM is the brains behind the project.

Today, we dive into Claud's own creative practise as a writer/director, their influences, and how music intersects with their filmmaking. Kate also discussed Claud's queer community organising with TRANS MEDIUM, as well as MISC. at the Sydney Opera House, and why it's so important to support queer teens as they come into their own.

Claud gave us a beautiful insight into their music taste, shared some of their biggest musical influences as well as some intimate, tender and silly stories of how these tracks come into their life.

    DYAN TAI

    DYAN TAI

If you’ve ever tuned into FBi Radio on a Thursday morning, you’ll be very familiar with Dyan Tai. As one of the co-hosts of "Kings & Queens" on Up For It, you would’ve woken up or driven to work alongside them, sharing queer news, events, and chatting with some of the most influential voices from so-called Sydney & beyond.

But Dyan's impact extends so far beyond the panel.

As a broadcaster and founder of "Worship Queer Collective", they work tirelessly to empower queer & BIPOC voices throughout the community. As a musician, producer and performance artist, they fearlessly push the boundaries of electronic music, bringing traditional Southeast Asian Soundscapes into the hyperpop space.
