Up to this point in history, children have been seen as less than and parented in a way that uses power over a child. Most of us were parented in this way but there is a shift in thinking about the way we raise our kids. Parents don’t feel good about using shame, blame, criticism, punishments, and even rewards, to get their kids to listen. Parents are wanting a different way because they know from their own childhoods this type of parenting hurts and leaves us with scars we take with us through our adulthood.

Each one of my episodes is designed to help you navigate the difficult journey of parenting but in a way that is more peaceful and intentional. I’ll show you how to get your kids to listen and cooperate without yelling, punishments and rewards. I’ll show you how to understand your own feelings and those of your kids.

My intention is to bring you to a place where you feel connected with your kids and yourself (we often get lost when we become parents!). Tune in weekly for all the inside tips, tools and tricks I teach my private clients to help you build the family you always wanted, and to become the parent you always envisioned you would be. I promise to provide you with fun and entertaining content that will leave you seeing your kids and your reactions in a whole new light!

Please make sure to share the episodes that give you goosebumps, and leave you feeling inspired! I am always grateful for every person who subscribes, leaves a review and rates my podcast 5 stars.

Making Meditation Easy for You and Your Kids | POF52

Making Meditation Easy for You and Your Kids | POF52

Uugh, here we go with another person telling us to meditate! Right? I know, I know but my guest, Josephine Atluri, is here to help us simplify the practice of meditation so we’ll WANT to do it!

The truth is, we set the tone for our family with our energy and everyone feeds off whatever you’re bringing! That means if you are stressed, your kids will be stressed. If you are anxious, your kids will be anxious.

Aren’t so many of us feeling more anxious lately?

Racism, White Privilege, and How We Can Talk to Our Kids | POF51

Racism, White Privilege, and How We Can Talk to Our Kids | POF51

What my guest, Jen Lumanlan, taught me is that choosing not to talk about it, is a privilege I have because I'm white. This conversation was a huge eye opening moment for me.  I was someone who didn't even want to say "white" or "black".  In this episode, my intention is to have a vulnerable conversation about my own (and commonplace) ignorance about racism and learn what we can all do better to be more tolerant, educated to end systemic racism.

Lost without these!

I’m a mom of 6 kids and I admit there’s days I just wanted to crawl into the closet and just cry. I was referred to Robin’s page by a therapist and wow! Listening to the podcasts was a real life changer for our family! My husband and I sit together in the evenings 1-2 times a week and just listen to podcasts out on the deck after the kids have gone to bed. We’ve integrated this as part of our routine because the advice and explanations she gives are so informative and fitting into our daily lives. It’s so helpful and it eases our minds knowing that we are not the only parents struggling out there. A huge thank you for all you do Robin!
