This course builds on the knowledge, skill and value base of Patient Care Theory I with emphasis on critical thinking related to assessment and interpretation of assessment findings and their implications for patient management. Additional focus is placed on the adaptation of the body to trauma and disease through compensatory mechanisms. The related patient assessment and management are directed by continuous monitoring of patient management, adapting to changes and determining the potential for life threat.
