A treat for the mind (and the soul)
Excellent and fun discussion every week.
One of the big highlights of my week every week.
Wonderful!
Pints with Jack is just a wonderful podcast. I’ve listened to every season at this point. It’s the perfect thing to play in the background that simultaneously entertains, challenges and uplifts you. The hosts are super knowledgeable about Lewis, and make the subject matter feel approachable, no matter how challenging the topic. David is so knowledgeable about everything from Scripture and literature to the church fathers and philosophy. Matt brings a relatable vulnerability to the show, and is fantastic at gleaning the practical, everyday lessons and takeaways from even the most lofty topics. Andrew knows more about Lewis’s life than I thought was possible to know, and brings an infectious passion for the subject matter. I’ve learned and grown in my faith by listening to this podcast. It feels like food for the soul. Keep up the amazing work! Thank you for making it all these years! And I look forward to listening for years to come!
Looking along the beam
This podcast is a beautiful mix between informed reading and thoughtful reflection. They know their Lewis and I am constantly learning more about Jack, his works, and his thought. One could say they look help us look at the beam well, but best of all I always walk away feeling like I have been helped to look along the beam.
