    Paperless Marriage

    Paperless Marriage

    Study of Scripture:  Galatians 2:20; Colossians 1:15-22; Romans 7:1-5

    Did you know that your marriage is not worth the paper that it is printed on?

    In today's Bible study, Milo focuses on the post-wedding day blues that married life can bring.

    Paperless Marriage

    Related Scripture:

    Colossians 1:15-20

    " The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.  For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,  and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

    Psalm 1 Matters

    Psalm 1 Matters

    Study of Scripture:  Psalm 1; Psalm 119:133

    Hashtags don’t get us to Heaven.
    Social and political justice movements like "Black Lives Matter" and "Stop the Steal" are important matters. For the Christian, however, nothing should “matter” more than following the Word of God.
    In today’s Bible study, Milo provides commentary on “Black Lives Matter” and  “Stop the Steal” after he provides a verse-by-verse breakdown of Psalm 1. Milo also shares his “2P6C” process, which he designed to help him discern how to support (or not support) modern-day movements.
     Psalm 1 Matters
     Scripture Spotlight:
    Psalm 1
     “Blessed is the man
    Who walks not in the counsel of the [a]ungodly,
    Nor stands in the path of sinners,
    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
    2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    And in His law he meditates day and night.
    3 He shall be like a tree
     Planted by the rivers of water,
     That brings forth its fruit in its season,
     Whose leaf also shall not wither;
     And whatever he does shall prosper.
    4 The ungodly are not so,
    But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
    5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
     Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
    6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
     But the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
     Psalm 119:133
     “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.”

    2020 is FIRED!

    2020 is FIRED!

    Study of Scripture: Zechariah 2:5; Leviticus 10:1-3
    Now that 2020 is FIRED, how do we avoid bringing “Strange Fire” with us as we enter 2021?
     Milo starts 2021 not only celebrating the new year, but also celebrating that today’s Bible study is the 50th episode on this podcast!!  (Whew hew!!)

    After making mention of this milestone, Milo offers up what he believes is the perfect theme song for the “dumpster fire” of a year that was 2020.
    This Bible study serves as a  warning that simply shouts STAY AWAY from “strange fire” as we seek God’s guidance, grace and goodness in this new season.  Milo shares “perspective passages” in Exodus and elsewhere, to give much needed context connected to the strange event that occurs in the opening verses of Leviticus 10.
    By  avoiding “unauthorized” activity, we all can move past the dumpster fire of 2020 , while making sure we are not “playing with fire” in 2021. Milo teaches how this is the key, allowing  all of us to get fired-up about our faith and our future at the outset of this new year!
     2020 is FIRED!

    Key Scriptures:
    “ And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will be its glory within.”’  [Zechariah 2:5]
    “Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.” [Leviticus 10:1-2]

    Key Quotes:
    “Perspective passages give us context to the text we are connecting to”

    "We must remember that we are part of God's Royal Priesthood."

    ALL GOD

    ALL GOD

     Study of Scripture: Romans 8:24-28; Genesis 50:20; Philippians 4:10-13; James 1:2-4
     Even though 2020 has been all bad from start to finish, Milo uses his platform to promote an alternative perspective. From all bad to all good?  Not exactly.
    Drawing insight from “the paradox of partial knowledge,” Milo reflects on his thought process at the  end of 2019.  Relying upon these past insights, he deals with the dilemma of partial knowledge in a way that  empowers the Christian community to see God’s goodness all throughout 2020, as well as in whatever 2021 has in store!!
    Connecting  passages from four different books of the Bible, this is the study that will help you handle your hardships with clarity, confidence and comfort.
     ALL GOD

    Key Scriptures:
    “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” [Genesis 50:20]
    “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” [Romans 8:28]
     Key Quotes:
    “We know what we know, but we don’t know what we don’t know.”

    Meal Plan

    Meal Plan

    Study of Scripture: Matthew 26:17-30; 1 Corinthians 10:14-16, 11:17-26
    Did you know that communion is the Messiah’s Meal Plan that reminds us to remember Him?
    Coronavirus pandemic protocols are messing up our thanksgiving “meal plans” this year.
    The sacrifices we are all asked to make, difficult as they may be, pale in comparison to the sacrifice Jesus made for us, which is the real reason we should be giving thanks this year and every year!!
    In today’s Bible study, Milo reminds us of the Messiah’s Meal Plan that Jesus put in place during the Last Supper, when He instructed His disciples to eat and drink in celebration of the new covenant.
    After dissecting the drama that unfolded during the Last Supper, Milo connects the old covenant commemoration to the new. Thereafter, Milo closes the study by  sharing a six-point survey summarizing why participating in communion is so important for us today!!
    This study will strengthen your commitment to the commemoration of the new covenant,  by connecting your human nature to the super-human nature of Jesus Christ!!

    MEAL PLAN

    S = Symbolic  (Matthew 26:26-29)
    U = Unified    (1 Corinthians 11:17-22)
    P = Proclaim (1 Corinthians  11:26)
    P = Participation ( 1Cor  10:14-17)
    E = Eternity  (John 3:16, 6:50-66)
    R = Remember (1 Corinthians  11:23-25)
