We consider what it means to have a new Moon in the energy of Aries.  This new Moon also brings a powerful Solar Eclipse with many possibilities to consider.

Generally with Aries energy it is about self and self focus.

The New Moon in Pisces occurs on Sunday March 10th around 8pm in the evening local time.  Please check your location for the specific time.

We consider what Pisces energy means and how best to use it.  Pisces is a water sign, the ethereal expression of water and it creates mists and dissolves visions.  This is your time of dreaming in the action you want to experience in the coming year.

Pisces rules the lymph system, hands and feet.  It is a good time for manicures and pedicures.

I have spent the last month is my happy place at Porepunkah, close to the spiritual energy of Mt Buffalo.  There has been time to contemplate the Astrological movements, enjoy the environment and refresh mind, body and soul.

Just before the ingress of Pluto into Aquarius in mid-January, there was an important gathering in Switzerland “where those who understand humanity the least gather to share the complete incomprehension of the species of which they are notionally a part.”  

Let us consider some of that agenda as well as the planetary movements including the ingress of Pluto into Aquarius and the New Moon in Aquarius on Saturday 10th February .  This also heralds the beginning of the Chinese New Year of the Wood Dragon.

The New Moon is a time for renewal of our energy.  It is time to set new intentions.  Every month, our attention is adjusted to focus on something different, thus enabling us to evolve and grow - consciously.

As often it does, Sagittarius energy refreshes the collective after the sombre, deep energy of Scorpio.  Sagittarius is about the truth, fairness, optimism amongst many traits.

The changing position of the planets shifts the energy focus and we can consider new ways of generating and retaining power.  There are also new and growing ideas about food production in cities!

This New Moon for me is about a new adventure driving south in our vast country.

New Moon in Scorpio

Scorpio energy is about Empowerment, Change, Self Mastery, Sex/Soul Mates, Financial Partnerships, Wills and Power Struggles.  

This includes secrets and deceptive activities like phishing.  The health of the body’s excretory system and reproductive system is also heavily influenced by Scorpio.

The power of this New Moon is influenced by Mars opposite Uranus suggesting some significant disruptive energy around that time.

Power also includes the Power of Intention, which when harnessed in a group and for positive change, can be very effective.  What about the Power generated by a mass gathering?

Ophiuchus is a zodiac sign which appears between Scorpio and Sagittarius, and there is some debate about its validity in modern horoscopes.

Libra energy is represented by the scales.  So this New Moon we are seeking to rebalance what in our lives may be out of balance.  Venus the planet of Love and Harmony is the ruler of Libra so we seek harmony in so many aspects of our lives, most notably relationships.  Venus is also involved in items of beauty such as art, jewellery and fine clothing.



Having recently met a Relationship Coach at my regular networking group, there is some discussion about relationships.



This New Moon features a Solar Eclipse when often matters that have been hidden appear.  A Lunar eclipse will follow on October 28/29.



Our legal system requires random members of the public to act as jurors in criminal cases.  How appropriate that I was called for jury service at this time  in Libra!



Libra governs the kidney and the adrenal glands.  Do work on your yoga and particularly the postures that support balanced adrenal function, ideally the Bow.
