This podcast has kept me sane for the last 3 years. It’s so funny Lena and Ian are the friends you want and relate too. I can’t thank them enough for the joy they have given me
Pretty good
This podcast is fairly enjoyable, but I cannot in good faith give it more than three stars as both Ian and Lena’s love for Rachel is nauseating, because Rachel is AWFUL. She’s incredibly selfish, mean-spirited and entitle. I also think Mr. Schue gets an unfair rap from both Lena and Ian, he’s done some questionable things, absolutely, but he was extremely inspiring and supportive of his students, not every student is lucky enough to have a teacher like that.
That being said, I really like the Mini-episodes specifically, with the fan interaction and all of the unique games and quizzes (Glee in Hogwarts, glee characters in a horror film).
However, my favourite moments on Recovering Glee are when Lena, Ian and fans reminisce about Finn/Cory. He was my favourite ND member by far. Cory seemed truly extraordinary. These memories, along with the interactive elements, are what keep my attention on this podcast
If a podcast could be a big hug!
This podcast truly feels like a hug after a long day. It is fun and sharp, and makes you feel like your just hanging out with friends looking back on old memories. I especially appreciate the extra care Lena and Ian take when handling some of the absurd ways this show can tackle sensitive issues. Thank you for being a bright spot in many of our week’s! If you too are a recovering Gleek I cannot recommend this podcast enough!
