Replay Episode (with added surprises!)- E27 Favorite TV Show Theme Songs with Mutlu (songwriter, musician, singer‪)‬ The List: A Right Fiction Podcast

    • Music Commentary

I’m quite old now, but I can still remember all the words to many of the theme songs from the shows I watched growing up. With most of them, I might not have heard them for at least 25 years…. Yet I can remember all the words, melody, and instrumentation for these shows… While this might mean that I watched way too much TV growing up (which is true), it also might mean that the theme songs for these shows were much more than just filler to introduce the show. They were a key ingredient in what made these shows successful in the first place. They set the mood for the show and were a cleanser of sorts for the ads or whatever you were doing before you sat down to watch. In other words these TV show theme songs were very important to your whole television experience AND in many many instances these songs were amazing pieces of music as well.

So, with such an important topic we’ve invited a noted TV Show Theme Song Scholar to Join us on the pod today to discuss our Favorite TV Show Theme Songs. Welcome Mutlu!
