Roy Green’s resume is outstanding. He is a three time consecutive winner of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters national Gold Ribbon award, Canada’s most prestigious broadcast award.

Listeners need not read his resume to know that Roy is a passionate advocate for the average Canadian, with an unshakable desire for justice and a deep and abiding love for his country. No wonder Roy’s show has been cited by Canada’s parliamentary newspaper as required listening for federal politicians.

Excellent Show Prep Poor Technically

I listen with a headset or with the phone close to my ear and the volume disparity between Roy’s mike level and callers varies widely and is very irritating to be having to turn up the phone volume only to be blasted when Roy responds.

It’s as if the operator/producer just hits the button to put the phone on air then walks away from the control room to have a slurp of coffee and expects the levels to look after themselves.

At the very least there are audio level normalization programs that will fix up that problem if the board operator will not.

Mr. Green does excellent well prepared interviews and asks probing questions which seem to be avoided by other A/V sources especially the CBC.

Worthy of excellent mention is Jody Vance who is very good on-air as a sometimes fill in for Roy.

Keep up the good work on content Roy I would have given a 5 out of 5 had it not been so consistently irritating on a technical basis and I hope that issue is rectified at it’s source.

Lee Smith

Leaving out the obvipus

So.....you have a right wing climate denying economist on the show and you don’t even bring up the fires and hurricanes and science snd resulting economic fall-out. Instead you let him rail on about wealth loss and you even imply we’ll be like Argentina if we start to be responsive to environmental concerns. And you don’t ask one question of him about the trillions of subsidies and tax breaks that have been squandered to corporate failing and environmental damagers. It shows a basic lack of insight and fails to hold this questionable guests feet to the fire on his failed economics which have created the largest wealth gap in history. It’s lame at best.

Enjoy the show but please turn the volume up on guest, always half the volume of Roy and makes it almost unlistenable when wearing headphones
