    • Society & Culture

THIS EPISODE IS SPONSORED BY THE SASKATCHEWAN ASSOCIATION OF THEATRE PROFESSIONALS.
This is the first episode in a special SaskScapes Presents:       The Theatre Series

(It is with great sadness that I mention that Henry passed away 10 months after this recording in November 2021)
Kevin Power is joined by one of Saskatoon's most beloved actors/directors. Henry Woolf's career spans over 60 years and in this episode, he takes the listener on the journey of his career. His remarkable experiences growing up during WWII in England, his early theatrical influences, his academic studies, and his relationship with playwright Harold Pinter. Henry Woolf has influenced and inspired many Saskatchewan actors, many of whom went on to professional careers. A former professor in the theatre department at the University of Saskatchewan and his tremendous body of work during his tenure as director of the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival, it's no surprise why he is one of this province's theatrical treasures.
