Self Sustenance: Lovin Off The Land Connected To The Land Podcast

    • Home & Garden

Welcome to the Connected To The Land podcast, sponsored by Peavey Mart.

In this episode, Ian talks to Chris Hall and Stef Lowey from Lovin Off The Land, who have challenged themselves to only eat what they Catch, Grow, Harvest or Raise for an entire YEAR! This includes everything right down to the basics, such as sugar, salt and flour.

Their journey began when they lost their jobs at the Poet’s Cove Resort due to the pandemic. They moved to Hall’s family cabin and half acre farm on Pender Island, British Columbia, whee they now raise pigs, chickens, turkeys and bees, plus they maintain a year-long garden and fish and forage for crabs, seaweed and halibut from the ocean, right at their doorstep. They are currently about 7 months through their journey, with their challenge scheduled to end on Aug 3, 2021. They have been documenting their journey on the Connected To The Land website.
