    For about half of that time, using my background as a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant, I gave fat-burning workout program and nutritional meal plans and guidelines to my clients…but what I have found is the missing piece to keeping the weight off for good is in the mindset work.     The Process

    The Process

    I have been diving into the word commitment and what it really means to me and how I can apply this concept to my clients.
    In psychology terms commitment is when “we make promises about the results we want but tend to ignore the process necessary to achieve these goals.”
    I am sure you have heard about “enjoy the process” …and that saying use to annoy me.
    Like “yeah right how do I enjoy the process of losing weight when I have to basically starve myself and do grueling workouts”
    If you grew up in the 70’s and 80’s this is what we were taught!
    This has backfire on us all!
    Your weight loss process for sure doesn’t have to consist of sacrificing your favorite foods or doing grueling workouts.
    You can still get results eating your favorite foods and moving your body without beating it up.
    If you have been struggling to get results take a look at your day to day…who are you being today?
    The person who is overweight or the person who is living in the process of the person they want to become.
