Pierre Black: Modification of Body, Mind & Soul

Pierre Black: Modification of Body, Mind & Soul

Way back in the early 2000s, my girlfriend and I went to get my very first body piercing at Montreal’s premiere body piercing studio, the still-legendary Black Sun. This highly professional studio was really like a calm juxtaposition between medical clinic and meditation spa. The music, the exotic fish aquariums, the high quality jewellery, the huge … Continue reading "Pierre Black: Modification of Body, Mind & Soul"

Philo Drummond: J.R. "Bob" Dobbs and the Church of the SubGenius

Philo Drummond: J.R. "Bob" Dobbs and the Church of the SubGenius

Back in 1994, I walked into the Computer Science lab at McGill University here in Montreal for the first time and what did I see as a screensaver on some of the Unix machines? The floating disembodied grinning head of J.R. “Bob” Dobbs! This got burnt into my mind and I would continue to run … Continue reading "Philo Drummond: J.R. “Bob” Dobbs and the Church of the SubGenius"

Gil Valle: Two Years in Prison for Cannibalistic Thought-Crimes

Gil Valle: Two Years in Prison for Cannibalistic Thought-Crimes

After Valle's arrest, media coverage exploded in a frenzy of lurid tabloid headlines and stories about the cop charged with planning to kidnap, torture, rape ...and eat ... women, including his own wife. But here’s the fascinating part; there was no such plan in reality. Valle was simply engaging in his own private fantasies, albeit fantasies that are abhorrent and grotesque, and for that he was thrown into prison.

Laid Back and Interesting

This show has a laid back, conversational feel that makes you want to include your own opinions in the conversation. However; talking to yourself is typically seen as strange behaviour, so don't. A must listen if you enjoy candid convos and random topics!

Entertaining Stories from Interesting People!

The more I listen to this podcast, the more impressed I am with the stories and the experiences that Sean encourages people to share. I have learned a great deal about aspects of life that I hadn't really thought about before - like being a mortician, working in a freakshow or a sideshow, or working as an exterminator! Some are educational, some are hilarious and/or cringe-inducing, all so entertaining and interesting.
