Operation 1.1 - But That Train Keeps A Rolling

Operation 1.1 - But That Train Keeps A Rolling

The Misfit School for Interdimensional Travel is not supposed to conduct research without oversight from Concord Lagoon. Everyone agreed to this restriction after their thoughtless pursuit of power led to the Pop and traded parts of the Pox'd Cauldron for parts of other dimensions, displacing hundreds of citizens to unknown fates.
Unfortunately, the thirst for knowledge is not so easily ignored, and Tirzo Pallakeen and his team of underground engineers traded favours and technology to the morally flexible Free Realms Commission in order to construct a train that can traverse dimensions.
As tends to happen with technology created without considering ethics, that train has run away and is gradually destroying the fabric of reality. Now it's the Myriad's problem-- and if they can't handle it, it could be everyone's problem.

Love it

I love the unique style of this show. The music is so evocative of what is being experienced by the players and the world is a rich and culture filled place that is always opening up in new and unexpected ways. The characters are not your typical party and the players themselves have unique perspectives. All of which is capped off by an incredible storyteller who has brought it all together. The re-mastered episodes are a delight to hear and I can’t get enough of Splinters of the Sun.

Got me into Actual Play podcasts

I learned about this because I follow the GM on YouTube (Whycalibur). Thought the idea of an RPG played via podcast was a fun idea. I’ve come to think that the medium of podcasts is a great way to broadcast tabletop roleplaying games, since the action is “theatre of the mind” (like a radio drama) and dice roll values are stated out loud.

The lore of this universe is really interesting, and it’s set out slowly and deliberately. I’ve only just finished the fifth session, and can’t wait to listen more.

Hooked after three episodes

The first couple of episodes had their moments, but Prologue - Part 3 is where it really took off! I'm hooked now. Excited to see what happens next!
