Jamil was not available for interviews during the campaign, and he tells us why. He also tells us why he ran as a Conservative, and what he believes an MP who prioritizes his riding over his party looks like! Hockey is still a very white, male world. Even in women’s hockey associations, there are a lot of men. In Clarington, the Clarington Girl’s Hockey Association is now led by a woman: Julie Vanhartingsveldt. Today we are going to discuss how women’s hockey has changed, how it continues to evolve, and how it needs to evolve.

Julie Van Hartingsveldt joins me to talk about the state of women’s hockey in Clarington, and how it came to be that she is the president of this great community organization!
