A very informative podcast
Decided to listen to my first episode of this podcast, the one about Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot, on November 5th. Having grown up in England, I enjoyed finding more out about the story than I previously knew. A couple of corrections though - Fawkes is pronounced the same as Forks. And a penny for the guy is not selling them. I went around as a child door to door, asking for money as a donation for the life size Guy we had made. Great podcast though!
So many great shows
The good episodes far outweigh the bad , been listening for years. Wow probably a decade plus. I can’t believe people can actually give negative reviews. I think the haters are just jelly cause cause this podcast has been so successful for so long and no one listens to their own garbage podcasts. Well whatever, hater’s gonna hate, if you wanna listen to an interesting podcast about history, there are many out there, but this is definitely a very good, consistent one. Thanks for the years of free info/ interesting knowledge ladies. Keep up the great work
So disappointed
This has always been my absolute favourite podcast. But the amount of ads they’ve shoved into it is crazy. Not only are there like 5 ad breaks per show, each ad break has 3-5 ads! Plus a lot of them are the same ad over and over so I have to
Listen to it 5 times in one episode. It’s insane to me. The ad breaks are just as long as the entire show. Now when I see a show is 30 minutes long, I assume it means 15 minutes plus ads. Really really disappointed in the choices that have been made. It’s so hard to listen to now.
