Working with Legends: Vanessa Guerra’s bike life
Greg travels to Madrid for a chat with Vanessa Guerra. With the exception of being a rider, there’s not much Vanessa hasn’t done in MotoGP. The conversation takes in her unique relationship with Marc Marquez, what it’s like being a team press officer at the top of motorcycle racing and her switch into the media which included the Inside Pass vlog with Red Bull. There’s also a trip down memory lane, including the time Vanessa’s racing brother found his collarbone where his elbow should have been, and just how nerve-wracking was it to appear on Eurosport? And did we mention how Colin Edwards tried to get her fired from Forward Racing? In a poignant moment, Vanessa recalls live broadcasting following the tragic loss of Luis Salom. There’s also the small matter of a karting challenge with the host (!) while Remy Tissier pops in and MotoGP commentator Louis Suddaby is on the line ahead of this weekend’s Americas GP.
