I was focused on the positives, not just what was going wrong. I finally realized I needed to enjoy the views around me. I was breathing through a straw for two full days. I learned that quitting is not an option unless my life is on the line. I was perfectly content just finishing the race. This race taught me so much about myself and my limits. I don't care about placement anymore, just the experience.
