An extremely well written show!

I got to say that “The black tapes” is one of the best podcasts I’ve come across. It’s cleverly written and captures your attention quickly. You get invested in both of the main characters, and can’t wait to hear what new mystery phenomena comes next.
Definitely worth a try for anybody looking to find a new podcast to listen to!

Too many tangents

Season 1 was decent. The acting is pretty bad but at least the stories were interesting. By season 2, the plot kept going off in different directions. So many subplots were just abandoned and never returned to. It seems that by the end, the writers had no idea how to connect the rat's nest of different plot lines. But I kept on listening, expecting that all of the plot lines would eventually get tied back together at the end in some shocking reveal. Boy, what a letdown. They just dumped the whole plot in the trash. If you listen, stop after season 1.

Loved it but felt short changed at the end of S3

The show is amazing and i love how they mix the supernatural with the scifi aspects. Very cool experience, the sounds the characters all grabbed my attention i binged all 3 seasons in 3 days. The only thing i felt was lacking was the ending, it feels tacked on. Almost as if they spent all this time building a universe and story but were never sure how it would end. It felt like a big tease all those hours listening to fade out so mundanely. But seriously congrats to the creators and everyone who worked on it ! Beautiful story well produced ! i hope we get a true ending one day.
