Episode 51: The Quicksand Method for Shifting, Creating + Experiencing
Today I am going to be discussing the Quicksand Method in hopes of offering you an almost instantaneous process that allows us to drop what isn’t in alignment with what we want to create, feel, or experience. This method should help you be the deliberate creator of what you do. It makes it possible for us to drop the heaviest thoughts that we have on the spot before they drag us down with them. We’ve all been there. A heavy thought or experience pulls us into a state of suffering. But suffering just indicates an error in our thinking that is out of alignment with how we want to feel. It is an opportunity to pivot, shift or assess what isn’t working and then align our thoughts and habits in a really intentional way.The Quicksand Method empowers us to bring ourselves into alignment by removing the suffering and resuming our natural abundant states. You don’t have to feel stuck in the suffering and you are not a victim of your circumstances. We have the ability to create our destiny through every decision we make. Our destiny isn’t laid out for us and it isn’t predetermined how that is going to unfold. Our thoughts and our actions are what create those future experiences. The Quicksand Method considers the universal laws of energy and attraction to instantly remove someone from an unwanted state focused on an unwanted feeling, and through this process intentionally replace it with a good feeling thought. There are five quick and easy steps to shift through. They are question, unplug, intention, clarity, and knowing. If you’re having a physical experience with quicksand there are some basic recommendations to ensure your safety. It is recommended that you keep yourself as light as possible, removing anything unnecessary, take some deep breaths, remove slowly and methodically. The fear response is going to quickly pull you downwards if you succumb to its pull as it is quite heavy. Quicksand can be a great teacher if we allow it to. It provides us an opportunity to shift our perceptions which ultimately is going to bring us back online in a more intentional way. The Quicksand Method creates micro check-in points that we can engage in throughout the day that helps keep us online and on track. The first step is "question." Ask yourself throughout the day if you feel grounded, supported, and anchored in this moment. If not, listen. What are you feeling instead? Step two is to "unplug." Remove yourself from the drama of your own thought process. Allow your feelings within the body to show you what is important in the now.Step three is "intention." Get clear on what you want to feel and experience instead, and the why behind this. Focus on the good thoughts which will make you feel good. Step four is "clarity." Use clarity that you’ve gained in the first three steps to commit to releasing the heavy and unwanted thoughts. Step five is "knowledge." Stay informed and be a conscious participant in your experiences. Check-in and identify how you want to feel. You can take this process and engage it anytime and anywhere. You don’t need a physical space to do it and no one needs to know that you’re doing it.It is entirely for you and you only. Until next time. Stay focused and stay clear.

Navigating Anxiety + Postpartum Health with Ashley Major
“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings they become less overwhelming, less upsetting and less scary.” - Fred RogersReducing stigma is difficult, and progress can be hard to measure when it comes to working on your mental health. However, this doesn’t mean we should not acknowledge the importance of taking care of our mind as it connects so deeply to our body and spirit.Today I am sitting down with my closest friend, Ashley Major. Ashley has an amazing way of holding space for others and has this incredible ability to connect with people on a deep level. With this superpower comes a lot of heaviness too. She takes on others' emotions and feels them so strongly they can become overwhelming to her. The troubles of the world sometimes weigh heavily on her mind. After years of experiencing this, she has identified that this all comes down to mental health. So, in this episode, she is going to get very candid about her mental health journey with anxiety and depression, especially as she has entered a new beautiful phase in life: being a Mother. This is her first time really coming out and speaking on the subject but she believes that sharing her story and experience with mental health and illness is an important way to raise awareness and reduce the stigma.
If she can help one person feel less ashamed about honouring their needs, that is enough to make this worth talking about.I want to again thank her for being so open and vulnerable.

Letting Go of Expectation
This is an excerpt from the Spirit Guide Immersive course. I felt that it was a great opportunity for many of us to work towards putting ourselves into the frequency of receivership as opposed to limiting ourselves by being attached to a specific outcome, timeline, expectation, etc.
As we approach the new year, a lot of us are going to be making plans for what we want to feel or experience in the new year. This is a really great way to get grounded and rooted in the frequency of receivership. So that way, we can open ourselves up to the many alternative ways of receiving that our limited self just wasn't able to comprehend.
We have so much work to do here in terms of letting go. All that we can control is our emotional resiliency and energy. If you take care of that and allow the rest of your experiences to unfold naturally, it will far exceed any expectations that you have.
