Hour 1 with Joe Starkey and Paul Zeise: It was a good night for the Pirates last night. Andrew McCutchen had a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first. Jared Jones went six strong innings. Jones is the story of the season. For one day, all is well. Aroldis Chapman continues to have control issues. Who made the final call on Jared Jones having an innings cap last game? What would you ask Derek Shelton today on the show? Listeners weigh in.

Hour 2 wtith Joe Starkey and Paul Zeise: Steelers reporter Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette joined the show. It's hard to tell who the Steelers will pick, but Brian guessed it will be Armarius Mims. Starkey wanted to write a story, but Brian stole it. The Steelers 1974 NFL Draft is the greatest of all time. Starkey's mailbag. Did the Steelers dumpster dive for Russell Wilson and Justin Fields? We think not. Last year, the Steelers picked three guys who became starters and high-impact players. Zeise thinks Darnell Washington will be a completely different player in Arthur Smith's offense. 

Hour 3 with Joe Starkey and Paul Zeise: Pirates manager Derek Shelton joined the show. Starkey second guessed Shelton putting Andrew McCutchen leadoff yesterday... and Cutch had three hits. The Pirates did things yesterday they got away from during the past two weeks like moving over runners and not making mistakes. Shelton is going to look at the process of pre-determined innings caps and if someone should stay in the game longer if they're dominating like Jared Jones. It's a challenge with arm injuries in the game today and bad for frontline pitchers being hurt. They have to figure it out so pitchers in the heart of their career don't have terrible injuries. Aroldis Chapman needs to slow down a bit and is losing his arm angle. He needs to move down the mound more directionally. Aaron Boone was ejected in the first inning yesterday as a fan yelled from the stands but the umpire thought it was Boone.
