If Only Ever Region Had One

This is an excellent podcast for keeping up to date on regional political developments in Asia. If only ever region had a podcast like this.

Broad IR coverage, well-informed, appreciate occasional Mongolia attention

This is one of the podcasts of professional interest that I've listened to longest and most consistently.
As an academic focused on contemporary Asia and more specifically Japan and Mongolia, I appreciate the broad coverage across Asia.
The geopolitics focus is sometimes narrow for my own professional taste, but true to the podcasts' title.
Production value is high and exchanges with guests and among editors are almost always informative. I like the typical length of around 20min.
Plugging Diplomat articles is kept to a very bearable minimum.
Given my interest in Mongolia I very much appreciate that editor Ankit Panda included Mongolia as s topic of discussion quite regularly.

Pretty good, almost up there with Reuters Podcasts

The Diplomat is one of my go to websites for any news in general and compliments well to the other news outlets I follow.

My biggest critique of the Podcast is the lack of time given to the guests on the podcast during a discussion/interview. I think the man himself that leads the discussion in this podcast is a great journalist, he writes great articles on a vast variety of topics, though he struggles to time the conversation enough to listen to the guest more in equal amounts in the podcast.

War College, a Reuters podcast that I often compare The Diplomat with despite differences in topics, I enjoy sometimes more simply because we hear the guest on the show talk more in depth than the journalist.
