Dwight, You Ignorant Slut: building community based on Acts 2:42

Dwight, You Ignorant Slut: building community based on Acts 2:42

If we all want community, and we all yearn for authentic friendships, then what are we doing to build it? And, if we're building it, how are we modeling it after the communities we see in Scripture, namely Acts 2:42? This week's conversation tackles the necessity for community and the ways we should strive to build it, while focusing primarily on the importance of seeing the presence of God in each person we encounter and the importance of being truly present to those we meet and grow to know and love.

My favourite podcast!

Tommy and Katie Prejean McGrady are SO adorable and authentic in each and every podcast. The whole thing sounds like you’re listening to their telephone call. Each episode is thought out very well, and it’s such a joy to listen to every time! The couple’s podcast and how they show their testimonies on little things (for ex. friendship) show me how it’s okay to open up and look further into yourself, and see what God can heal for you. I love them both and I recommend anyone who loves The Office and/or Park & Rec and/or God, to listen to an episode or two on the way home on the bus, in the car, and enjoy the many jokes and deep waffling they have.

Seriously a showstopper🙌

I’ve been a fan of Katie since I read her first book, so I though- heck why not listen to her podcast. It took me a bit of time before I listened to the first episode because I don’t want Parks and Rec OR the office... but seriously that doesn’t matter cause Katie and Tommy make you laugh your gut out by just being them 😂 plus there is so much wisdom in what they share about living out their Catholic Faith it is so crazy that sometimes I can’t handle myself. So if you've gotten this far and still aren’t listening to the podcast, you’re going to regret it👍
