The Gifted Gab had the pleasure of sitting down with journalist and producer Amal Mohamud. Amal has climbed the ranks and took an untraditional route to get into the media and broadcasting realm now, reporting for CityNews Edmonton. She has produced several documentaries and has been responsible for television program leading up to her experience now. Amal was recognized for her work by the National Black Coalition award for her trailblazing contributions as a member of the Somali community. Alex and Amal get into the ups and downs of producing, Amal’s journey and some other trends and social issues taking place in the community.
